Data residency
Data in Germany, not just „in the cloud"
Lumen runs on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Nuremberg and Falkenstein. No US hyperscalers, no CLOUD Act, no data flows across the Atlantic. Backups in a second German data center, transactional emails via Postmark in Dublin (EU region).
- Server location: Germany (Hetzner Nuremberg / Falkenstein)
- Databases: PostgreSQL, daily encrypted backups
- Email delivery: Postmark EU (Dublin) instead of US providers
- DPA pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR as standard, not on special request
